HI!, This is me again.
In this post, I am going to talk about urban gardening which has gained more popularity in recent years.
Well, we all know that living lives in cities as it's own perks and downsides , one of which is you can't get as fresh vegetables as you could get from a farm or if they were grown by you. So I'd recommend you to go with urban gardening.
To, Start. You don't need much.
Following are the required key ingredients in making a good urban garden :
A Pot
A small or lot of space ( depending upon the size of your garden )
Seed or seedling
Good watering system or manual watering
And a hard-working and well-determined person's hand (It's one of the most important as they are not going to grow on their own . They need care and proper management . So Be Ready get your hands a little dirty )
Step#1
Start by choosing space ( for your garden ). Remember no area is too small for a plant garden. It could be anywhere from rooftops to balconies. The area you’ve got determines what kind of plants you can grow and in what layout. It’s also important to note what kind of elemental (sun, wind, rain) exposure your garden space gets every day, as these are a major factor in influencing your plant's growth.
Step#2
Pick up your bought pot. If gardening beds are not an option, potted plants are the way to go. When picking pots, there are a few things to consider: how many plants do you want in each pot? What type of plant do you want? How many pots do you want? If you want to put multiple plants in one pot, consider formating. Planting a tall plant, like tomatoes, with a shorter plant, like basil, is an efficient use of space that won’t overcrowd plants. Additionally, the more pots you have in an area, the higher the humidity, which will improve plant growth. Be creative with your pot use: take advantage of hanging pots, trellises, and windowsill pots to maximize your space and create visual interest.
Step#3
Now the time to choose your plant has come.
You should be now ready with your garden and plan to plant some plants. This is the fun part. Your urban garden can be anything you want it to be, so have fun with this part. Do you love peppers?
Then grow them! Have you always liked
azaleas? Plant them! Don’t overcrowd your plants, and don’t get too ambitious with how much you want to grow. Start small and go from there. Second, plant food you actually want to eat. At the core of most urban gardens are vegetables and herbs. This is a great way to increase sustainability as well as your intake of fresh produce, so don’t waste it on something you’re just going to leave on the plant. Some urban gardeners have themed gardens that have components for their favorite meals like peppers, green beans, snap peas, and Thai basil for easy stir-fries.
Step#4
This is the final step. NOW you've got everything from space, pot, to the choice of plant to be grown. So, now the final step is to go and buy seed from your nearest market. If you don't really want to do hard work and want to grow easily than you can go with seedlings. They could be grown more easily and will take you less time. But its another level fun to grow a plant from scratch or seed. So, I would suggest you go with seed but the choice is really
yours.
AND DO REMEMBER TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR PLANT AND MAINTAIN WATERING SUPPLY (
